Front End Developer, Tunbridge Wells, Kent - £30,000

I'm working alongside a multi-award winning Creative agency on the Kent / London border with a client list and creative team that can only be described as enviable. They are a mid-sized company who've had a great few years and continue to grow, as such they are looking for a new Front End focused Developer to join the team. You will provide technical production and development skills across the various elements of the digital design and build spectrum. The candidate will join a talented team of designers and developers, provide a technical edge, show dedication to technology and a passion for creating standout and engaging online materials.

The Role and Requirements:

This role will cover an ever changing variety of client project requirements, across many areas of the technical paradigm the wider digital marketing mix. Primarily the role is technically led, but will involve early stage involvement in the conceptual elements of projects. As a Front End Developer, your main responsibility will be the production, revision, and maintenance of websites, emails and web applications' user interfaces.

You will work closely with designers and developers - using HTML5/CSS and others - to turn existing flat Photoshop/Illustrator designs into working web content. Being able to work with a skilled, collaborative team is key! A great environment and work ethic is on offer here.

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate a clear passion for Front End Development, and the ability to enthuse others about its value and importance to digital design and user experience (UX).

You will be expected to:

Grow and share your knowledge of industry developments and emerging technologies

Provide accurate timing estimates for projects

Contribute at an early stage to pitches, briefings and other projects

Mentor and advise other staff, including designers and account managers

Recommend and discuss solutions with the creative department

Bring new ideas and thinking to the agency, and apply best practice to drive the quality of our digital output

Skills and experience required:


Vanilla Javascript, jQuery and other frameworks

Experience of building cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions, including cross-browser testing

Good design skills and appreciation

Attention to detail and an understanding of user experience (UX)

Mobile first, responsive

Useful but no essential skills:

Experience of AngularJS

UX analysis and design
